Mrs. Media Gemu holds a Masters in Commerce Degree in Strategic Management & Corporate Governance from the Midlands State University (MSU) as well as a Bachelor of Honours Degree in Risk Management & Insurance (NUST). She has vast experience in the local microfinance industry and has played a pivotal role in setting up strategic units within the organisation. She also has been very active in the insurance industry where she worked for Old Mutual Insurance Company and Standard Fire & General (SFG) Insurance Company and she rose through the ranks from being an Underwriter to holding various management posts. She has also been exposed to the Botswana insurance sector when she joined Coverlink Insurance Brokers (Botswana) as Head of Administration before she came back to Zimbabwe to join Coverlink Finance (Pvt) Ltd as head of Operations, and later promoted to her current post of General Manager.
